Job description

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available immediately in the Portland area for a contract duration of 13 weeks or longer. This role offers variable days and afternoon shifts, providing flexibility while enhancing your clinical expertise in a dynamic hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee medication therapy for inpatients ensuring safe and effective use
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Utilize Cerner electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems to support clinical decision-making and medication distribution
  • Provide patient education and clinical consultation regarding medication regimens
  • Monitor medication therapy and intervene in potential drug interactions or adverse reactions
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Active Oregon Pharmacist License is required
  • Strong inpatient and clinical pharmacy experience is essential
  • Proficiency in Cerner and Pyxis systems preferred
  • Ability to work flexible variable day and afternoon shifts
  • Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
Schedule:
