Clinical Research Registered Nurse

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for assessing proposed study protocols and for the coordination and implementation of all nursing and administrative activities related to clinical trials. Performs within the parameters for which he or she is qualified by education, training, experience and licensure. 

SUPERVISOR: Practice Manager 

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 

๏‚ท Coordinates all research study activities with the Principal Investigator and has direct nursing care responsibilities. 

๏‚ท Coordinates and manages clinical studies according to OHRP and FDA regulations, as well as, ICH Good Clinical Practices and IRB requirements. 

๏‚ท Develops tactical study procedures 

๏‚ท Develops any necessary study documents not provided by sponsor or IRB 

๏‚ท Educates HCA staff regarding research and study protocols 

EDUCATION: 

๏‚ท Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or other health related field โ€“ required 

EXPERIENCE:

 ๏‚ท Minimum of two yearsโ€™ experience in area of research specialty required.

 ๏‚ท Minimum of two years clinical research experience. 

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: 

๏‚ท Licensed RN 

๏‚ท CCRC is preferred 

๏‚ท BLS Certification; ACLS preferred 

๏‚ท Actively maintained CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator)
