Turn Information Into Solutions That Support Better Care

At Uvalde Memorial Hospital, technology and accurate information help our teams provide efficient, high-quality care. We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Informatics Analyst to support, maintain, and optimize the information systems our clinical and operational teams rely on every day.

In this role, you’ll work closely with Informatics, Information Systems, department leaders, and end-users to solve problems, improve workflows, support reporting needs, and maintain data integrity. If you enjoy combining technology, analytics, and customer service to make systems work better for the people who use them, this could be a great opportunity for you.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Support Meditech Expanse applications and related systems across clinical and non-clinical departments.
  • Troubleshoot system, workflow, and reporting issues and coordinate with IS staff when additional technical support is needed.
  • Maintain system configurations, dictionaries, screens, menus, and related application components.
  • Develop and maintain ad-hoc and scheduled reports using NPR, BCA, DR, SQL, and other reporting tools.
  • Validate information for accuracy, consistency, and completeness while helping identify and resolve data integrity concerns.
  • Partner with departments to support operational, regulatory, and performance-reporting needs.
  • Review workflows and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, eliminate redundancies, and address reporting gaps.
  • Provide end-user support and training for system navigation, workflows, and reporting.
  • Develop helpful resources such as quick-reference guides, tip sheets, and job aids.
  • Assist with system testing, EHR upgrades, enhancements, new module implementations, and informatics projects.
  • Maintain documentation of workflows, reporting logic, and system support processes.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with healthcare information systems, with Meditech Expanse experience preferred.
  • Experience with data reporting, analytics, or system support.
  • Working knowledge of NPR, DR, SQL, Access, or comparable reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear, understandable language for end-users.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with team members, department leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • A commitment to maintaining accurate, reliable healthcare information.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
  • Use your technical and analytical skills to support both patient care and hospital operations.
  • Work with a variety of clinical and non-clinical teams throughout the organization.
  • Help improve the systems and workflows employees depend on every day.
  • Build experience with healthcare information systems, reporting, analytics, and EHR optimization.
  • Contribute to system enhancements and projects that make a meaningful difference across the hospital.
  • Be part of a collaborative, community-focused organization committed to quality and continuous improvement.
