Job description

As a Senior Veterinary Pathologist for our team at the Senneville location, you will be responsible for applying advanced scientific knowledge to perform microscopic evaluation of tissues, and for recording results, preparing complex reports delineating pathological findings, and assisting with necropsy supervision.
In this role, primary responsibilities include:
- Perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluation and interpretation of assigned studies;
- Enter pathology findings in data capturing systems;
- Write comprehensive report narratives detailing all test article effects. As needed, work with study directors to ensure data is accurately integrated into study reports;
- Provide training, technical guidance and leadership to laboratory staff and may provide training, guidance, and leadership to less experienced pathologists;
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge in toxicologic pathology;
- Work directly with customers as needed to market company services and to assure customer satisfaction Participate to global CRL committees/projects as needed;
- Act as “core pathologist” for important sponsors;
- Serve as a consultant in pathology-related issues;
- Provide advanced scientific expertise for experimental design and other aspects of research studies as needed.
- May serve as principal investigator for contract pathology work;
- May function as a peer review pathologist or may participate in a pathology working group (PWG) as a pathologist;
- May perform scientific review of reports;
- May assist with necropsy supervision.
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:
- Doctorate degree (D.V.M/V.M.D.) from an accredited veterinary school, or acceptable international equivalent in veterinary medicine;
- 6 or more years of pathology experience post-D.V.M;
- Working knowledge of clinical pathology preferred;
- Board certification with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (A.C.V.P.) or European College of Veterinary Pathologists (E.C.V.P) required to enter the level grade;
- Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought;
- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors;
- Ability to exercise judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods or techniques for obtaining solutions;
- Working knowledge of related computer applications.
Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test covered by the company.

- Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1;
- Transportation: We offer a shuttle service from Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. In addition, the site is accessible from the Anse-à-l’Orme REM station via STM bus services.
- Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;
- Annual bonus based on performance;
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime;
- Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
