What does a clinical laboratory intern do?

A Clinical Laboratory Intern assists professional laboratory staff with tasks such as preparing samples, running basic tests, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Interns gain hands-on experience in a clinical lab setting, learning about laboratory protocols, safety procedures, and diagnostic testing processes. They may also help with data entry, quality control, and organizing laboratory supplies. This internship is an opportunity to develop practical skills and knowledge necessary for a career in clinical laboratory science.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a clinical laboratory intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Clinical Laboratory Intern, you need a foundational knowledge in biology, chemistry, and laboratory techniques, typically supported by enrollment in or completion of a relevant science degree program.
