Job description

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

We are seeking a Clinical Assistant for outpatient clinics that provides services for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their caregivers. The ideal candidate would have customer service experience, with good oral and written communication skills. Spanish/Bilingual speaking skills preferred. This individual will perform administrative duties in an outpatient clinic setting including answering phones, processing mail, retrieving and sending electronic faxes, scanning and printing documents, gathering and entering patient data, and filing. The clinical assistant will be responsible for working with confidential information, including clinic referrals and intake packets, insurance information, and medical records. The clinical assistant will also purchase clinical supplies and materials including test kits and protocols, and make travel arrangements using UNM purchasing card.
