Responsibilities

Hiking Guide/Outdoor Sports Guide – Canyon Ranch

Are you passionate about nature, wellness, and guiding others through transformative outdoor experiences? If so, we are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Hiking Guide/Outdoor Sports Guide to lead hikes, biking and adventure activities in stunning natural settings.

As a Hiking Guide/Outdoor Sports Guide, you will engage guests while ensuring their safety and enjoyment on hikes with varying lengths. Currently, we are seeking guides who have a special interest or knowledge in astronomy, mountain biking, or birding! 

Our team members are positive professionals who are open to feedback, love the outdoors, and thrive on meaningful work in beautiful places—all in alignment with the Canyon Ranch mission of healthy personal transformation and wellness. In addition to hiking, guides have the opportunity to learn and teach:

  • Climbing

  • Cycling & mountain biking

  • Archery

  • Ropes courses

  • Night vision hikes

  • Naturalist hikes

  • Various outdoor adventure programming

Our tours range in size from 1-12 guests, and guides safely operate a 15-passenger van and other equipment.

Schedule: Shifts start as early as 5:00 am a minimum of 3 days a week.

This is a Part-Time position - up to 30 hours per week.

Pay: $20 per hour.


Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED 

It is preferred that you have 2+ years of experience in guiding, recreation, sports or customer service.

You will need to be 21 years of age or older and have a valid state driver's license with no moving violations for the previous 3 years.

You absolutely, positively need to enjoy spending time with people and being able to carry the conversation easily and engagingly. If you have a background, interest or skills in art, meditation, or astronomy - that is a huge plus!
