Sprout (www.Sproutup.com) is a rapidly growing IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) provider and electronics recycler. We are a growing GREEN company that has a customized ERP platform to manage our business. Sprout leverages data and analytics to make IT asset disposition flawless for the world's leading enterprise. In the quest for smooth IT infrastructure refreshes, superior technology is only half the solution. The other half is uncompromising customer service. Our world-class customer service teams' partner with companies at every turn to deliver solutions that make life (and the world) better.
We are looking for an IT Specialist seeking a different type of opportunity. Someone who likes refurbishing IT equipment and identifying and harvesting valuable components from devices near the end of their lifecycle. Someone who enjoys learning new technology and cares about saving the planet by conserving valuable resources.
Responsibilities
  • Runs diagnostics on various consumer and industrial electronics including laptops, tablets, servers, and networking equipment, as well as their individual components
  • Position may operate specialized equipment in combination with considerable independence and variation in assignments, requiring knowledge of our propriety software platform and additional software.
  • Utilizes software to manage the data sanitation of hundreds of hard drives at a time and routes the devices to the appropriate distribution channel ranging from direct retail to responsible recycling
  • Utilizes sERP (proprietary software) to inventory numerous devices by creating labels and scanning barcodes to sort electronic components by attributes
  • Coordinates, supervises, and is accountable for the daily activities of Level 3 and Level 4 Operators. Impact of work is at team level.
  • Demonstrates recognition of basic electronic components
  • Opens/closes and interprets shop orders
  • Understands and manipulates all aspects of the sERP system
  • Understands the total production system and processes (e.g., inbound/ outbound shipping, shop orders, and inventory management)
  • Understands third-party software (e.g., Softhinks, Future Dial, Kronos, EPS, WipeOS, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Able to speak, read, and understand the English language in verbal communication (bilingual in Spanish preferred)
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Able to stand for up to 8 hours or more
  • Able to walk, climb stairs, bend, and reach to work with equipment throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Able to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
  • Able to use hand tools (e.g., power drill, pliers, etc.)
  • Able to work with exposure to mechanical and electrical currents
  • Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Able to learn and apply new concepts
  • Able to type data accurately and efficiently into a computer system
  • Basic proficiency using a computer and MS Teams, Outlook, and internet search capabilities
  • Basic proficiency using MS Word and Excel
