• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and evaluate the efficacy of treatment plans, employing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect cultural diversity and special needs, continually monitoring patient progress and modifying plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records, reports, and clinical information using advanced electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with patients, their families, and other clinicians to create comprehensive treatment plans that address specific goals and foster a supportive environment.
• Provide risk assessments and interventions aimed at enhancing patient safety and reducing symptoms while encouraging active participation in their own recovery process.
• Coordinate referrals and serve as an essential link between patients and additional treatment providers, establishing solid working relationships within and outside the organization.
• Mentor and provide educational guidance for interns, residents, and volunteers, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
• Participate in clinical collaboration, peer reviews, and chart audits under the guidance of clinical supervisors, contributing to overall team effectiveness and member development.

The ideal candidate will focus on working with patients facing the mental health challenges that often accompany a cancer diagnosis. You will cater to a diverse client base, applying tailored interventions designed to address the emotional and psychological impacts of their health conditions. • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.

• Experience in outpatient mental health therapy, particularly with individuals affected by serious medical diagnoses such as cancer.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and effectively coordinate care with various healthcare providers.
