Your Opportunity
We are seeking a BIM/VDC Coordinator to join our Austin office. You will support the implementation and coordination of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes across all project phases. As a BIM/VDC Coordinator at Stantec, you will bridge the gap between design, engineering, and construction, ensuring model integrity, clash resolution, and efficient digital workflows that align with client and project needs.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of a BIM Manager on multi-discipline BIM models for use in design development, construction documentation, and field coordination;
  • Lead clash detection and resolution efforts using Navisworks Manage or similar tools;
  • Facilitate model reviews, coordination meetings, and visualization sessions with project teams;
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to streamline model workflows and ensure constructability;
  • Maintain model integrity, file organization, and documentation for all phases of project delivery;
  • Assist with data extraction, quantities takeoff, model-based scheduling (4D), and cost integration (5D) as needed;
  • Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for project teams using BIM/VDC tools and platforms;
  • Promote innovation by staying up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Ability to pass a background and security clearance required by the client.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Proficiency in Revit required; familiarity with ACC, Navisworks, AutoCAD preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Interest in a BIM-focused career path

Education and Experience
Degree or certificate in Architecture, Engineering, BIM, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience with building modeling software and design for architecture or engineering design or related market sectors
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Stantec offers a flexible working environment. Possible field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
