Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Job Overview:

We are looking for a diagnostic technician/mechanic who is energetic, upbeat, and has a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for must seek out solutions to tough problems and have a strong passion for doing what's right for our guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guest
  • Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
  • Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate  concerns 
  • Work together with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results
Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5+ years of experience accurately diagnosing and repairing a wide range of domestic and foreign makes and models. 
  • Strong technician expertise across major vehicle systems, including engine performance, transmissions, ABS/Braking, and advanced HVAC systems
  • ASE Certifications (or Master Technician status preferred), or a demonstrated track record and plan to achieve
  • Meet or exceed 40-50 flag hours per week
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
  • Professional appearance and strong communication
  • A desire for long-term career development
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record, and the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
  • Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
  • Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
  • Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
  • Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
  • Drive manual transmissions vehicles
  • Efficiently navigate a computer
