Help Drive the Financial Success of Research That Advances Patient Care
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst, Research to join our team. In this role, you will support the financial planning, reporting, and performance analysis of research initiatives across the organization.
Working closely with research leadership, finance teams, and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure research projects are financially sound, compliant with funding requirements, and aligned with organizational goals. Your insights and analysis will support informed decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and contribute to the success of programs that advance healthcare innovation and clinical research.

What You'll Do
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support research projects and organizational initiatives
  • Monitor project budgets, funding sources, expenditures, and financial performance
  • Analyze funding and spending trends and identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency
  • Track progress against budget targets, funding milestones, and project objectives
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and supporting documentation for research leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with funding requirements, financial regulations, and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with research, finance, and operational teams to support financial planning and decision-making
  • Identify financial risks, variances, and performance trends and recommend appropriate actions
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial models, reports, and performance metrics
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities related to research operations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reporting documentation
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance financial transparency and operational effectiveness
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Three or more years of financial analysis, accounting, or related experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and data analysis
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred:
  • Experience in healthcare finance, research finance, or grant-funded environments
  • Knowledge of research funding structures and financial compliance requirements
  • Experience with financial reporting systems and analytics tools
  • CPA or other relevant professional certification
