Job description

Distribution Associate II / Forklift - 2nd Shift
Hiring a Distribution Associate to assist with warehouse distribution. The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, forklift, shipping / receiving experience. The company is a global manufacturer and distributor of climate control products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets.
This position is 50% Forklift and 50% Packing. Not a straight Forklift operator role.
LOCATION: Romeoville, IL 60446
POSITION: Right to Hire
PAY RATE: 20.00 hour
HOURS: 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm M-F
DUTIES:

  • Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance.
  • Ensure safe handling of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work and education.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Basic computer skills.


ABILITIES:

  • Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.
  • Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
