Job description

We are looking for professional Senior System Administrators to join the 6K Team!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals will support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)'s information Management Division (IMD) and provide system administrator support for various server Operating Systems and network operating equipment.
Experience includes, but not limited to IT system administration, script development, data migrations, query and report generation, continuous monitoring, crash recovery, backups, rolling upgrades, equipment installation/de-installation, cable management, troubleshooting, equipment configuration, and system security controls
DUTIES
  • Perform system administration duties and responsibilities that involve analysis and evaluation of computer networks with primary knowledge of requirements of information processing methodology, information technology, computer capabilities, and processing techniques.
  • Be responsible for maintaining daily operation and problem resolution of systems on the network, operating systems, and the many multi-disciplined intelligence automated systems and databases it accesses.
  • Provide workstation software administration and technical support services.
  • Develop and implement plans as a continuous process for the integration of new server and client software and providing technical advice on new requirements for worldwide electronic communications among the Agencies.
  • Work within a variety of different computer system environments, such as UNIX variants and Microsoft Windows with familiarity with MS and Sun based operating systems. SAN (Storage Area Network) administration will include configuration, initial installation and upgrade, device management, rendering performance and reliability recommendations, as well as providing recommendations on the integration of SAN products into the Agency's overall computing environment.
  • Deploy software solutions for various top secret to unclassified networks to include but not limited to (JWICS, SIPR, NIPR, NSA, coalition networks, Open-Source Information System). Install, configure, and administer network servers (including security).
  • Design and implement all aspects of the software development life cycle: requirements definition, design, code, debugging, verification and test, and maintenance of software modules.
  • Develop new software modules to be used in complex software systems supporting the Agency. Modify legacy software adding enhancements and new features to the existing software systems.
  • Maintain and monitor the availability and performance of classified local critical intelligence systems are operational and accessible for all classified systems.
  • Provide technical network and computer system advice to the Government to successfully meet operational requirements.
  • Provide system administration services to systems and network assets to support deployments, both contingency and exercise.
  • Recommend changes to the Government for improvements in systems and operating environment for Government consideration and approval.
  • Provide remote and on-site ADP support to units for exercises and contingency missions, help validate requirements, and conduct user training as required.
  • Perform system accesses and handling system or software problems that may arise.
  • Design and implement all aspects of the software development life cycle: requirements definition, design, code, debugging, verification and test, and maintenance of software modules.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Working Knowledge with MS Defender
  • Working Knowledge with Oracle 12c or higher databases and interfaces
  • Working Knowledge with MS Desktop Productivity Suite 2013 or higher
  • Working Knowledge with AWS and Azure Cloud Administration and security
  • Working Knowledge with PEGA 8 or higher
  • Working Knowledge with project tracking software, such as Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)
  • Knowledge of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
  • Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
  • Knowledge of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI IT security regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Working Knowledge with FedRAMP guidelines and processes

The individual should also have hands on experience with, but not limited to the following:
  • MS Certified System Administrator/Engineer
  • Expertise Knowledge in MS Windows 10 Enterprise or higher desktop operating systems (OS)
  • Expertise Knowledge in Red Hat LINUX 6 and higher with at least eight (8) years of experience
  • Expertise Knowledge in MS Windows Server 2012 or higher (Standard, Enterprise, Data Center Editions) with at least 8 years of experience
  • Expertise Knowledge in EMC VNX Storage Area Network (SAN)
  • Expertise Knowledge in desktops, servers, switches, and various networking equipment
  • Expertise Knowledge in MS Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Expertise Knowledge in monitoring software/tools, such as Splunk, Zabbix, etc.
  • Expertise Knowledge in Domain Name Server/Active Directory 2012 or Higher
  • Expertise Knowledge in MS Hyper-V or other virtual environment applications such as VMWare
  • Support the Division's Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
  • Expertise Knowledge SAN tier I, II, III, and data domain solutions.
