Job description

WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking an Institutional Client Management Associate II who will support the Service Team to serve and retain institutional client relationships. These relationships may consist of corporate retirement plan investment committees, human resource or employee benefit contacts, and external vendor partners. The candidate must maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, be well-organized, service- oriented, and capable of performing under tight deadlines. Must be adaptable, show ability to retain information and possess a strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position will support 4 West Coast offices. They include Denver, Sacramento, Phoenix and Bellevue. 


Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

  • Deliver exceptional service and become a trusted partner to the Service Teams managing their books of business by ensuring service needs are carried out with the highest level of attention and in a timely manner
  • Develop, compile, and ensure accuracy of quarterly and ad-hoc/client specific reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Oversee critical maintenance/organization of system files, records, and assist with new client onboarding
  • Aid in the retention of existing client relationships by applying the highest level of service to all questions, requests, and deliverables
  • Establish and develop relationships with FA service team and internal business partners
  • Coordinate and manage the efforts of internal business partners to ensure appropriate recommendations for each client
  • Assist in quarterly data collection, auditing, and input of system data
  • Perform other duties and special projects independently or with a team as required by the Service Teams or the Institutional Client Services department

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of industry related experience
  • Technical proficiency in navigating CRM system, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Adobe

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Exceptional attention to every detail and a personal ambition to be error-free
  • Extremely organized; enjoys keeping accurate and detailed records
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to design spreadsheets using formulas, linking cells, and graphing functions
  • High standards of professionalism (dress, manners, conduct, speech)
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently AND with other
  • Excellent math skills and the ability to grasp financial/investment concepts
