Job description

The Opportunity:

The Client Service Associate will begin their client service insurance brokerage training and development journey in Hylant's Foundations Training & Development Program. This program offers a robust curriculum of foundational insurance learning experiences, knowledge and skills of Hylant client supporting activities designed to prepare for successful transition to a dedicated Employee Benefits client service role.

In This Role You Will Execute On:

  • Develop an understanding and complete adoption of Hylant's servicing tools and processes.
  • Obtain Life and Health licensure within 100 days, developing and enhancing knowledge of the insurance marketplace, products, and services.
  • Provide general administrative and document management support to client service teams such as preparation, printing, binding, and distribution of client presentations and other deliverables; run and distribute of reports; and physical and electronic client documentation management
  • Perform data entry and maintain client information in agency management system(s) including initial client set up, client information updates, policy details, document management, etc.
  • Process and distribute insurance verification requests such as certificates of insurance, identification cards, or similar documentation as requested.
  • Assist in compiling required documents for client renewals and submissions, as directed by appropriate client service team member.
  • Assist in policy/account activities by gathering, compiling and preparing necessary information, and following up & processing documents as directed.
  • Cross train in specialized property & casualty or employee benefits functions to gain a broad awareness of all client service functions.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.

In This Role You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty or Life & Health License, or the ability to obtain within 100 days of employment (limited exam attempts) and maintain in good standing.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize with effective results
  • Intermediate to advanced communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
