Job description

Summary:

Proactively solicits new business and sells Ephrata National Bank (ENB) products within the local marketplace to meet established production goals of ENB’s Fiduciary Services segment. In this on-going sales role, the Associate continually identifies, develops, and maintains a quality network of industry relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new fiduciary services opportunities. This position is responsible for the administration of various types of trusts, investment management accounts, IRA’s, and estates. Capability of managing $5MM plus portfolio.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain current client relationships and develop new client relationships in the areas of investment management, trust administration and estates.
  • Prospects new fiduciary services opportunities.
  • Markets and promotes ENB's financial products.
  • Manage account relationships in accordance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, legal or fiduciary requirements and/or client direction.
  • Achieves production goals as established by ENB.
  • Determines which ENB financial products best meet the customer's needs and financial circumstances.
  • Advises the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different ENB financial products.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and institute best fiduciary practices and risk management controls.
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to researching and compiling data and reports, answering phones, greeting visitors and scheduling appointments, processing invoices for payment, sorting mail, and imaging.
  • Coordinate fiduciary services activities, as directed, daily and collaborate with operations staff to ensure high quality customer service and delivery of daily goals and objectives.
  • Assists with and performs research of client inquiries or other matters.
  • Keep up-to-date on current trends and changes in the industry with regard to fiduciary practices.
  • Represents the Bank in community activities and industry organizations to enhance the Bank’s image.
  • Assist WS management with special projects and other duties as assigned.

New Business Development Functions:

  • Develops Business Referral Network through marketing, cold-calling, prospecting and networking activities.
  • Represents Ephrata National Bank to the community in networking related events.
  • Participates in community efforts to promote the Ephrata National Bank brand.
  • Work with Retail and Commercial Banking, Centers of Influence and other business lines to perform joint calling activities and share prospect and customer opportunities.
  • Manage $5MM plus portfolio.
Required Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in business administration, finance or in the banking field.
    • 0-2 years of relevant experience, exposure to working within a Fiduciary Services sales environment is highly preferred.
    • Has attained or is working towards a Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation.
    • Ability to maintain a working knowledge of trust and investment products and services, as well as, comply with trust policies, procedures and applicable trust regulations.
    • Ability to professionally interact with employees and clients.
    • Ability to be effective under pressure.
    • Ability to handle routine client requests, prioritize, problem solve, and multi-task.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines. Due to physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required.
