Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing Carson City office. Our firm represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in Industrial Insurance Litigation throughout Nevada.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in industrial insurance litigation, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated in court.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies that align with client goals and legal standards.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and courtroom proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, with precision and clarity.
  • Engage in direct client interactions, providing clear guidance and updates on case progress and legal options.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, contributing insights and ideas to enhance case outcomes and firm practices.
  • Manage case files and documentation efficiently, maintaining organized records for easy access and reference by the team and clients alike.
  • Be able to meet and exceed the monthly billing requirement
  • Independent worker but also ability to collaborate with a team
  • Daily use of electronic case management system as well as billing software

Qualifications:
  • Active membership in the Nevada State Bar, ensuring you can practice law in the state.

  • Experience in litigation, particularly in industrial insurance cases, to effectively represent clients.

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis, supporting case preparation and courtroom arguments.

  • Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and finalizing legal documents with precision and compliance.
