Job description

Position Title: Project Manager
The Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles, particularly in ground-up construction with significant budgets. The ideal candidate will navigate complex schedules and ensure client satisfaction while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety. The role demands effective communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage aggressive timelines and project milestones. A collaborative spirit and a proactive approach to challenges are essential for success in this dynamic environment.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 / Year DOE
Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversee commercial projects primarily focused on ground-up construction with budgets exceeding $5 million
  • Utilize Critical Path Method to develop and manage project schedules effectively
  • Ensure client retention and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including architects, subcontractors, and clients
  • Manage project buyouts and handle change orders under $200,000
  • Travel to job sites as required, approximately twice a month for several days

Project Manager Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial projects, primarily ground-up construction
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration and HVAC systems as they relate to cold storage projects
  • Proven experience in developing schedules from the ground up
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable
  • Experience in education and build projects, especially in South Carolina, is preferred
  • Proof of repeat client projects is preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred (must obtain within 6 months)
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred
