Job description

Client Onboarding Project Manager

Full-Time | Remote or Hybrid | Exempt

Why Cedarstone?

At Cedarstone, we help nonprofits change the world by running their back-office operations-freeing them to focus entirely on their mission. We are a growing company built on trust, excellence, and a shared purpose. If you love turning complex details into smooth, organized processes and want your work to have a meaningful impact, we'd love to meet you.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Client Onboarding Project Manager to partner closely with our Client Experience and Financial Operations teams. In this role, you won't be running day-to-day accounting or managing long-term accounts. Instead, you will be the architectural bridge that creates and leads a seamless implementation process for new clients and expanded services. You'll take the baton from sales and design the roadmap that sets our clients up for long-term success.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Lead the Roadmap: Own and drive onboarding plans, timelines, and cross-functional team tasks.
  • Design the Setup: Coordinate the collection of essential setup details, from system access and banking to payroll and workflow requirements.
  • Set Teams Up to Win: Partner with internal leaders to ensure receiving teams are fully prepared and workflow expectations are crystal clear before a project wraps up.
  • Evolve the Process: Continuously refine our onboarding checklists, templates, and tools while proactively keeping leadership ahead of any timeline or scope risks.

What You Bring:

  • The Right Background: Professional experience in project management, implementation, professional services, nonprofit operations, or accounting operations.
  • The Toolkit: Exceptional organization skills, clear communication, and a knack for building highly functional process documentation.
  • Bonus Points: Familiarity with AP, payroll, donation processing, or client service workflows is a huge plus.

The Perks & Culture:

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. We embrace a flexible, remote-friendly culture where you can work from home or in a hybrid arrangement.

We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support your life inside and outside of work, including:

  • Medical insurance (approximately 75% employer-paid)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching
  • 10 paid holidays plus generous PTO
  • Optional dental, vision, and supplemental insurance
