Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates project design, cost estimates, schedule, interface with client, etc. on capital projects.
  • Manages capital project implementation including oversight of selected vendors.
  • Determines specific customer and stakeholder requirements and manages communication across organizational and functional boundaries to assure that customers, peers, and support groups have a good understanding of the scope and deliverables for assigned capital projects.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture by recognizing and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Assures that all assigned capital projects comply with budgetary, regulatory, department, safety and company standards.
  • Ensure the project design management continues to follow the client project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and client's design standards.
  • Prepare cost and revenue projections.
  • Perform Constructability Review to determine the reasonability of a build plan.
  • Develop and lead design management, procurement strategies, construction, fit-out, and closeout.
  • Contracts and claim negotiations.
  • Budget development and management.
  • Ability to run larger, more complex projects.
  • Effectively delegate project tasks to project management team.
  • Oversee the entitlement process for unoccupied construction sites to ensure appropriate zoning is obtained.
  • Lead the vision for project procedures and processes for running the project.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in conceptual development, project management, project controls, planning and scheduling on capital projects, including experience in the Biotech or related industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with regulatory requirements, engineering principles, and construction techniques is important.
  • Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers and operations staff.
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing operations is desired.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs.
  • The candidate should also demonstrate core BMS behaviors, especially Accountability and Urgency.
  • Proactively participate in self-development to continually enhance current skills and build new skills required to excel at current role and prepare for career progression.
  • Demonstrate ability to be dependable, diligent, and thorough.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering preferred).

The salary range for this full-time role is $102,300.00-$136,433.35 per year. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
