Summary:

This role is responsible for managing projects associated with implementing Ecommerce, Web Content Management or Marketing Automation platform solutions on behalf of Layer One Media. This position collaborates closely with the business and IT teams from both Layer One Media and Layer One Media clients. Projects not only include managing the implementation related to websites hosted within these platforms, but integrations between the platforms and other systems.


Scope:

  • This position will initially manage ecommerce platform projects, however web content management, marketing automation and other project work will be assigned to fill out the project managers schedule.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate internal resources and client resources for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop effective, detailed project plan and manage resources to task, while tracking progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders in partnership with Layer One Media practice leads and account managers
  • Perform issue tracking and risk management including coordinating risk mitigation plans
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Participate in quality assurance plan creation, testing and creating associated documentation
  • Insure comprehensive project documentation is created, maintained by team members (i.e., specs)
  • Manage within hybrid waterfall and agile models
  • Assist with the coordination and facilitation of planning, status, workshop and design sessions
  • Identify cross-functional impacts and communicate effectively with the team. Challenge points of view and actively participate in exploring risk mitigation and issue resolution opportunities


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering or//and PMP-Certification is required. Equivalent IT Project Management experience will be considered.
  • Typically, 10 years relative IT experience with at least 5 years managerial experience.
  • Experience with waterfall and agile project management approaches is required.
  • Experience managing mid and large size projects from $250K to over $2M spanning 3-12-month timeframes is required.
  • Experience with digital, website, web content management and ecommerce projects is highly desired.
  • Sitecore software or Insite Software experience is desired, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Services (TFS) is desired.
  • Some periodic, short term travel may be required for some client meeting (day or two). However, most work will be performed at the Layer One Media location.
