Job Summary:

Estimators/RPMs work with owners and subcontractors to restore properties after disasters like fires or floods. They prepare scopes and estimates for reconstruction, remodeling, and emergency services, using estimating software and sales skills to secure projects. This role also involves managing renovations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring timely, high-quality service. Strong field estimating, sales, and construction project management experience are preferred.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience in restoration or construction industry
  • 2 years' sales / business development experience

  • Physical requirements - The physical environment requires the employee to work all types of both indoor and outdoor conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment, having ability to stand or walk, occasionally bending, squatting, climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with home and property owners to conduct onsite inspections and scope generation, and provide quick turnaround estimates.
  • Convert estimates to won jobs through effective operational/field sales skills.
  • Build relationships with key customers - direct and B2B - and seek partnerships to improve performance with vendors and tradesman
  • Effectively manage project resources and budgets, including subcontractors.
  • Utilize centralized Company quality control and estimating resources to support estimating efforts.
  • Meet all service standards set forth by the client or the company.
  • Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate or Symbility (as required). Train on such software as needed.
  • Work closely with insured and interested parties to obtain agreement and close opportunity.
  • Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.
  • Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers, and TPA's.
  • Responsible for being the first contact for homeowners when participating in the on-call rotation.
  • Closing the Loop 100% of the time within 24 hours.
  • All other duties as assigned
