Job description

SUMMARY:

The Associate Client Portfolio Manager will be an active member of the investment team and partner with sales, client service, and marketing to support business development efforts for GW&K's equity investment strategies. This client-facing role will involve presenting various equity strategies and performance to both existing and prospective clients across distribution channels and, importantly, partnering with internal stakeholders to support key initiatives and the overall Client Portfolio Management effort.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop deep knowledge of GW&K's equity strategies, including philosophy, process, portfolio positioning, and performance drivers.
  • Partner with Sales and Client Service to support business development and asset retention across channels.
  • Present investment philosophy, process, performance, and market insights to clients, prospects, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly investment commentary and presentation materials, create value-added content and client materials, respond to written ad hoc client requests in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Serve as an investment resource for client inquiries, due diligence, RFPs, and competitive analysis.
  • Participate in investment meetings and strategy discussions as an integrated member of the equity team.
  • Manage multiple internal initiatives while maintaining strong organization and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant investment industry experience.
  • CFA designation or progress toward the CFA charter required.
  • Strong equity market knowledge and exposure to the US Small Cap market; experience in equity product, research, sales, or related client facing roles preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to articulate investment concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Professional presence with strong interpersonal judgment and the ability to build trust across diverse audiences.
  • Analytical skill set with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with FactSet and/or Bloomberg and synthesizing equity attribution preferred.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, well-prepared, and able to balance investment team engagement with business development support.
  • Travel required.

This role is based in our Boston office on a hybrid schedule - 4 days per week in-office, 1 day per week remote.

The actual base salary is dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, GW&K employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and/or commission, which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.

Base Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000 USD
