Peerless is seeking an individual with a current TS/SCI clearance who is a highly skilled and motivated Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineering Specialist. This person will be part of a team responsible for the implementation, management, maintenance, security compliance and documentation of the organizations multi-cloud BDI and thin-client endpoint environment. This is an in-person job in Dayton Ohio, relocation assistance possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thin Client Management (AWS Cloud hosted)
    • Infrastructure Admin- deploy, configure and patch
    • Endpoint profile management- Develop, push and test operating system configurations (PeakOS, RepurpOS, NOS)
    • Lifecycle and firmware updates
    • Hardware conversion
  • VDI Platform Engineering and Testing
    • Azure Virtual Desktpo- build and maintain gold images, manage multisession host pools, configure FSLogix profile containers
    • AWS Workspaces- package and deploy applications, integrate Active Directory/AWS directory services, administer WorkSpace pools and configure streaming protocols
    • Horizon Virtual Desktops- provision and optimize instant clones, manage storage layers, configure horizon connection servers
    • Test & User Feedback loops- Establish pilot groups, gather metrics, refine virtual desktop templates
  • Security Compliance & Systems Hardening
    • ISSO Collaboration- serve as technical POC for Security officers
    • STIG Implementation
    • Certificate to Operate (CTO) Support- Author, test, gather tech evidence to achieve and maintain CTO and ATO
  • Standard Operating Procedure development and creation
  • Author Technical White Papers
  • Provide strategic technical recommendations
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Possess and maintain IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+, etc.) certification or higher
  • Experience administering at least one of the primary VDI platforms (AVD, AWS Workspaces, Horizon)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • In person in Dayton Ohio-relocation assistance possible
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Motivation to learn new things in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of segments of a project
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience configuring and operating 10ZiG Manager or equivalent thin-client deployment consoles
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash or Python) to automate, resource schedule and user profile management
  • Experience executing STIG checklists and CTO/ATO packages
  • AWS certified Solutions Architect or SysOpsa Administrator
