DESCRIPTION:

As a member of the Advancement Team, and reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Manager (MCM) propels Kingsley's mission by engaging internal and external audiences with dynamic content that illustrates our unique value proposition and amplifies our brand. This person will partner with clients across the School, including Advancement, Admissions, Auxiliary, and Academic Programs. This role requires a highly organized self-starter who identifies opportunities and proposes solutions. The Assistant Director of MCM will coordinate our communications, amplify our message, contribute to team brainstorming, and ensure data accuracy across channels. Uphold Kingsley brand, image, and the components of our style guide.

SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
  • Proficiency with social media, Mailchimp, Hubspot, and other digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with or ability to learn basic photo and video editing skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and respect for all members of our community.
  • Maintains confidentiality, acts with discretion, and treats School equipment and community members with care.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Marketing and Digital Engagement
    • Manage school persona across all web outlets (school review sites, Yelp, Google, Niche, GreatSchools, etc.).
    • Manage Kingsley's social media presence, including posts on behalf of ADM, DEV, AUX, etc.
    • Update School website and provide content support as needed (including client pages).
    • Manage Hubspot inbound marketing.
    • Liaise with school advertising partners like Enroll Media to monitor and revise Kingsley's ad content & performance.
    • Manage internal Google drive - coordinate collection of pics/videos from staff, Parents Association, etc.
    • Always ensure adherence to permission-to-print list.
    • Growth Areas
      • Revive and build out the Kingsley Blog
      • Build out our external Flickr account program as a value-add for families.
      • In consultation with the Director of MCM, forecast multimedia/video needs and coordinate logistics of enlisting professional photographer/videographer.
  • Communications
    • Content creation and coordination and final responsibility for distributing Bulletin, Brief, and Admissions Newsletters (aimed at prospective families)
    • Create and edit school communications as needed (leadership ghostwriting, proofing client materials, etc.).
    • Manage recipient lists for school-wide communications (who receives the Bulletin, Brief, HoS comms, Nurse, PA, etc.).
    • Design and publish the yearbook, coordinate parent ads and payment forms.
    • Source and/or design promotional items for Advancement, Admissions, and schoolwide branding.
    • Contribute written, photo, and video content to Annual Impact Report.
    • Coordinate MCM communications calendar with school departments.
  • Other
    • Strategic and tactical event support for Advancement, Admissions, and school-wide programs.
    • Work strategically and operationally with development colleagues on the advancement of alumni engagement activities.
    • School duties as assigned (arrival, dismissal, lunch, etc.)

Kingsley is committed to equitable compensation for all faculty. Faculty salaries are determined based on an experience-based step scale, ensuring fair pay for those with similar teaching experience. Salaries for full-time teachers typically range from $60,000 to $78,000.
