Job description

Position Summary

Service and sell grocery items to retail accounts in assigned market area (Waterloo/Cedar Falls, IA - Mason City, IA) ensuring client standards are met and volume is increased.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Sell products from retail booking sheets provided by Managers.
  • Manage time and priorities to schedule store visits.
  • Participate in store resets representing our clients based on assigned territories.
  • Present and maintain full distribution on existing approved SKUs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management.
  • Implement items to meet client shelf schematic standards.
  • Take direction from Manager regarding tagging in, rotating, and placing POS materials for products on shelf.
  • Build rapport with clients and customers. Answer questions and proactively develop plans of action to resolve issues.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports including weekly recaps, itineraries, expense reports, and web-based reports.
  • May require some travel and/or overnight stays.
  • Driving personal vehicle and maintaining clean driving record.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of full-time sales and/or merchandising work experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, proof of insurance, and acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally lift up to fifty pounds
