What you'll be doing

CIBC's Wood Gundy team is the full-service brokerage division of CIBC serving our high net worth clientele. As a Client Support Associate, you will work closely with investment advisors at CIBC Wood Gundy to help manage their portfolios and develop new business. You'll directly engage with high net worth clients to offer support, uncover business opportunities and proactively improve the client experience.You will gain experience to advance your career into other roles within the brokerage environment and CIBC and keep up to date on current domestic and global investment market trends and new products. This position is a great opportunity to learn the investment business in professional and be part of a dynamic work environment in one of Canada's leading brokerages.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you'll be on-site full-time Monday through Friday.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $50,840 to $59,350.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this roleincludes participation in an annual discretionary incentive orbonus program.

How you'll succeed

  • Client engagement - Focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful.   • Business development - Proactively identify business opportunities for your team. Work closely with investment advisors to support business development activities and assist in the building of investment plans based on the client's profile, goals, and risk/reward tolerance.

Who you are

  • You're a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing as an Investment Representative (IR) licensing with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID). It is an asset if you are Registered Representative (RR) licensed.

  • Financial services and/or brokerage industry experience, and working knowledge of various quotation equipment is required.
