Client Benefits Assistant
Location:
Arlington Heights, ILย 
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)ย 
Salary: $40,000
Are you passionate about empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their fullest lives?
Clearbrook, an agency dedicated to enriching lives and embracing potential for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a professional to join our Business Office team as a Client Benefits Assistant.
In this role, you will perform a variety of accounting and filing functions pertaining to processing and maintaining client benefits, as well as other duties assigned.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client financials, including checkbook balancing, bill payment, rent adjustments, and reconciling ICF client banking and CILA pouches.
  • Process and maintain client benefit programs, such as SNAP, Medicare, and Medicaid (including requesting cards, reviewing EOBs, and checking formularies).
  • Process DHS redeterminations and coordinate with Social Security by maintaining Payee reports, submitting pay data, and assisting with interviews.
  • Open new representative payee bank accounts for clients and close accounts when necessary.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Education: High School education or equivalent.
    • Preferred Education: Associate's Degree.
  • Experience: 2 years of related experience is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
