Position: Client Services Associate

Department: Client Strategy

Reports to: Director of Client Strategy

Effective date: February 2026

Classification: FTE, hybrid in Washington, DC

Term: Temporary, with a set-end date in November 2026

This role is hybrid and the team is expected to work 10am-6pm EST with extended hours during the busiest part of the election season. This position will also be expected to be in-person at least one day per week. Other flexibility may be required as clients' needs shift.

Client Services Associate Overview:

Our small, dynamic media planning and buying agency is looking for an entry-level Client Services Associate to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of work experience who is eager to launch a career in client strategy and account management. This is a junior generalist position that will come with other duties as assigned.

The Client Services Associate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of client relationships, ensuring that our internal teams remain on schedule and that deliverables are met with precision. You will work hand-in-hand with the Director of Client Strategy and the rest of the Polaris team to ensure our clients achieve their marketing objectives.

Client Services Associate Responsibilities:

  • Account Coordination: Maintain and update project timelines to ensure all campaign milestones are reached on schedule.

  • Team Accountability: Keep internal media and analytics teams on schedule by managing daily task lists and deadlines.

  • Project Management: Utilize software such as Asana or Monday.com to track project status and organize client deliverables.

  • Data Organization: Use spreadsheet software to track client budgets and reporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.

  • Communication: Translate client needs into clear narratives for the internal team and assist in preparing client-facing reports and presentations.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned to support the Director of Client Strategy.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Client Services Associate Qualifications:

  • Location: Must be based in the Washington DC area (DMV).

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional work experience or relevant internships in an account management or coordination role.

  • Software Proficiency: Exceptional proficiency with spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets), including the use of pivot tables and data organization techniques.

  • Project Management Tools: Knowledge of or high interest in learning project management software like Asana or Monday.com.

  • Media Knowledge: Basic understanding of digital advertising metrics (CPM, CPC, etc.)

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent initiative, communication and project management skills.

  • History of a strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in new and high-pressure situations.

  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Experience working in the progressive political sphere strongly preferred or a demonstrated interest in campaigns and causes

Client Services Associate Compensation:

  • $55,000 - $65,000 annually depending on experience

  • Employer sponsored healthcare, including 100% paid medical, 99% paid dental, 99% paid vision and 100% paid life insurances

  • 3% automatic Safe Harbor retirement contribution
