Who we are looking for

The Alpha Strategy and Implementation Services Team at State Street is seeking a qualified Account Services Data Analyst to support client account onboarding, maintenance, and configuration activities across the Alpha Platform. This role is focused on collecting and validating client account reference data, supporting system configuration, and applying data controls that help enable accurate, timely, and consistent account setup across front-, middle-, and back-office services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the collection, review, and organization of client account data required for new account launches, lifecycle events, and static data maintenance.

  • Assist with account data validation, enrichment, and control activities to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and required client or internal follow-up om the Account Matrix/Conversion Data.

  • Support system configuration activities across Account Services workflow tools and downstream Alpha applications based on approved client account data.

  • Partner with clients, implementation leads, data leads, product, technology, and downstream operations teams to resolve data issues and support readiness for testing, conversion, and production use.

What you will be responsible for

As an Alpha Account Services Data Analyst, Officer you will

  • Collect, organize, and analyze client account data required to support client conversions.

  • Review client-provided data for completeness, consistency, and alignment to Account Services data requirements, templates, and agreed operating models.

  • Maintain and update client account data artifacts account setup data dictionaries, configuration trackers, validation logs, and related implementation documentation.

  • Support configuration of account attributes, dropdown values, lookups, business rules, checklist items, and other client-specific settings within Account Services workflow and administration tools.

  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and validation exercises to confirm that account data is accurately reflected across Account Services tools and downstream Alpha systems.

  • Investigate data exceptions, configuration breaks, and validation failures; document root cause, proposed resolution, ownership, and status through closure.

  • Partner with implementation leads, project managers, product owners, technology teams, and downstream service teams to clarify data requirements and resolve configuration dependencies.

  • Support testing cycles by preparing test data, reviewing expected results, validating configuration outcomes, and documenting defects or required remediation.

  • Apply data controls to ensure accurate, complete, and timely account setup, maintenance, and conversion activity.

  • Document field-level definitions, population rules, required values, impacted workstreams, and downstream usage to support consistent data interpretation.

  • Monitor configuration readiness, data quality issues, and open action items; escalate blockers that may impact testing, conversion, or production timelines.

  • Support post-go-live remediation and change activity by analyzing data impacts, validating updates, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

  • Contribute to reusable standards, templates, control checks, and best practices that improve the consistency and scalability of Account Services implementations.

  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, Excel, data profiling, reconciliation techniques, and reporting tools used to support data analysis and control activities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data issues into clear actions for clients, implementation teams, technology partners, and operations stakeholders.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field of study

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, investment operations, client implementation, account services, or financial services technology

  • Experience with account onboarding, system configuration, data controls, or implementation testing preferred

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $118,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
