The City of Waxahachie is pleased to announce that we are seeking a Utility Worker I/II to join our Utilities Department. The City of Waxahachie offers a competitive salary and benefit package to our employees. Job descriptions for each position can be found by clicking on the links below.

Click the following link to view the Utility Worker I Job Description: Utility Worker I Salary Range Utility Worker I $51,486.47 - $72,081.06 (DOQ) Click the following link to view the Utility Worker II Job Description: Utility Worker II Salary Range Utility Worker II $56,763.84 - $79,469.37 (DOQ) Requirements Utility Worker I Education, Training, and Experience: High School Diploma or GED Licenses and Certifications: A valid State driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Class "D" Water Works License & Class "I" Wastewater Collection License issued by TCEQ within 12 months of hire Utility Worker II Education, Training and Experience: HS diploma or GED. Two (2) years of utilities related experiences, preferably in a municipality. Licenses and Certificates: A valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment

Possession of a valid Class I Wastewater Collection and Class "D" Water License issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Must obtain Class II Wastewater Collection OR Class "C" Water License issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) within 12 months of hire.
