Clearwater Restaurant Supervisor
General Position Summary:
Responsible for the supervision of the Clearwater restaurant employees. Organizes for maximum efficiency; including assisting in scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management. Operates within the budget established by the Food & Beverage Director. Responsible for the set-up and the daily operations of the dining rooms, to include greeting guests, cash transactions, and special events during assigned shifts, or in the absence of the Clearwater restaurant Manager.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
  • Assists Manager with supervision of dining room employees, including hiring, all aspects of performance management and recommendations of terminations
  • Monitors and ensures compliance of regulations regarding health and safety of both guests and employees
  • Promotes
  • Responsible for cleanliness, FOH and server work areas, repair orders, and overall appearance of the Clearwater restaurant
  • Responsible for staff scheduling based on projected revenue and tracking labor daily, weekly and monthly for payroll
  • Responsible for following monthly budgetary guidelines as set forth by F&B Director with particular emphasis on payroll.
  • Assists with monitoring time and attendance daily and is responsible for preparing specific venue's labor reports etc. for a smooth payroll
  • Meets and Greets guests, exceed their expectations and say. "Thank you for dining with us and please come back." As they leave
  • Responsible for filling in for employees who do not make their shifts either on the Cash Register or Wait Staff
  • Learn and support daily operations of Money In/Money Out (MIMO) machine
  • Actively practices customer service standards and instills the same in personnel
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Food & Beverage Director

Secondary Functions:
  • General food preparation and menu knowledge and ability to describe to both staff and guests
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:
  • Ability to supervise and provide efficient operational direction to Clearwater employees
  • Experienced in providing exemplary guest service, able to handle disputes and problem solve conflicts
  • Practical knowledge based on hands-on experience
  • Excellent math skills
  • Ability to learn and operate the point-of-sale system and be able to instruct employees
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Food and Beverage procedures and cash transactions

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Two (2) years of supervisory experience in Food and Beverage industry or a combination of experience and training. Must be 21 years of age. Must obtain a TIPS card within 60 days of employment, and possess a food handler card
Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working in a restaurant dining area, kitchen area, office setting with a computer and other equipment. Other conditions include being able to work day and night shifts. Conditions will also include frequent interruptions, and working evenings, weekends and holidays and in a smoke-filled environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers, adding machine and routine paperwork.
