About the Position

The Grounds Guys are hiring a Lawn Maintenance Team Leader to oversee a crew and ensure high-quality service for our residential, HOA, and commercial clients. This role is ideal for someone with lawn care experience who can lead by example, communicate effectively, and deliver consistent results.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a lawn maintenance crew (2-4 team members)
  • Perform and oversee:
  • Mowing
  • Trimming/edging
  • Blowing
  • Pruning & bush trimming
  • Bed care and seasonal cleanup work
  • Ensure lawns are cut clean, straight, and professionally
  • Review daily routes and ensure all services are completed
  • Communicate with office staff and property managers
  • Train crew members on safety, equipment usage, and quality expectations
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and basic troubleshooting
  • Drive and manage a company truck/trailer safely


Requirements

  • Experience in lawn maintenance or landscaping
  • Previous crew lead / foreman experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a small team
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in hot, cold, or rainy weather
  • Knowledge of commercial mowing standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow structured routes
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
