Key duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, and sometimes handling waste disposal. The specific tasks can vary depending on the type of facility and employer requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a cleaner?

To thrive as a Cleaner, you need knowledge of cleaning techniques, attention to detail, and basic health and safety awareness, often supported by on-the-job training or relevant certifications. Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemical handling, and sometimes computerized scheduling systems is typically required. Reliability, time management, and strong work ethic are vital soft skills that help cleaners excel in their roles. These skills and qualities ensure that cleaning tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard, maintaining healthy and welcoming environments.
