General Cleaner

We are currently hiring for a Part-Time General Cleaner position in the Fitchburg area of Madison, with a pay rate of $15.25 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00pm-9:00pm

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and has prior cleaning experience. After training is completed, the employee will work independently along an assigned route.

DUTIES:

The primary responsibilities include collecting and removing large volumes of trash and cardboard from warehouse and production areas.

Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Applicants must be able to read and understand English in order to follow laboratory signage and safety instructions. After completing training, the cleaner will work independently on the assigned route.

Reliable personal transportation is required, buildings are not accessible by public bus routes. Free on-site parking is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dust surfaces such as desks, cabinet tops, and partitions

.• Empty trash and recycling bins and take contents to designated disposal areas

• Sweep and mop hard floors

.• Vacuum floors using upright vacuums and/or backpack vacuums

.• Perform spot cleaning on carpets

.• Clean glass surfaces.

• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces.

• Maintain restroom cleanliness and ensure supplies are fully stocked

.• Polish metal fixtures and fittings

.• Job duties and assigned areas may change at any time based on customer or management needs.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

.• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
