Job description

Overview
The Daytime Cleaner Position is vital for members of the club staff team. They ensure that the facility is clean and meets the expectations of members. The Cleaner will be responsible for any combination of light cleaning duties on the gym floor and cleaning the locker rooms.
4 hours per day, 4 days per week.
10:00am until 2:00pm
Daytime cleaning position.
Compensation will be negotiated based on experience.
Responsibilities
The Daytime Cleaner performs any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain the gym in a clean and orderly manner. They work under the direction of the General Manager. Some of the various duties include:
โ€ข Cleans glass and mirrors
โ€ข Wipes down equipment, doors, and floors as necessary
โ€ข Empties trash receptacles daily
โ€ข Sweeps and mops floors
โ€ข Cleans bathrooms (tile, showers, walls and sink, mirrors, lockers)
โ€ข Dusts daily
โ€ข Mops and sweeps floors
โ€ข Picks up debris and mops rubber floor
โ€ข Cleans vacuum cleaner bags or canister daily
โ€ข Reports maintenance problems in an accurate and timely matter
Qualifications
  • At least three (3) months experience in cleaning or janitorial experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Must have excellent organization, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Must have proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Must be able to collaborate and work as part of a team in a professional manner
