Job Summary:

Stowe Mountain Resort is currently seeking dependable, hard-working individuals to join our Winter Seasonal Janitorial Team.  These positions will be part of a team completing fall maintenance tasks and then provide routine winter janitorial service resort wide.  The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills. 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr 

  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027  

  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  

  • Housing Availability: No  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining resort facilities from a cleanliness standpoint, working within a team or independently.
  • Daily upkeep of associated facilities, tools & equipment.
  • Daily inspection and cleaning of facilities.
  • Proactively communicate maintenance needs to ensure timely ordering of supplies
  • Engage with guests and staff while exhibiting Vail Resorts Core Values  
  • Assist with operation of activities as needed.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.Exhibits high productivity in all cleaning assignments, including but not limited to replenishing of required amenities in all guest spaces as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be able and willing to work 1st and 2nd shifts, have flexibility.
  • Must be able and willing to work weekends & holidays.
  • Able and willingness to ride Gondola & Forerunner Quad lifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to perform medium work (defined as exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally).
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals.
  • Exhibits high productivity in all cleaning assignments, including but not limited to replenishing of required amenities in all guest areas: servicing public and employee restrooms, ensuring all assigned spaces meet cleanliness, safety, and presentation. 

Preferred Experience:

  • Basic education preferred
  • Previous experience preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills: communicates in a positive, solution-oriented way to proactively address maintenance and operational needs
  • Teamwork: able to work effectively with leadership and other department staff to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance tasks on time
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Ability to learn to use chemicals as directed.
  • Must possess visual acuity necessary for visual inspection involving work at a distance at or within arm's reach and sanitation.

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
