TAKE CLEANLINESS TO NEW HEIGHTS-BECOME AN AIRCRAFT CLEANER/LAW WATER AGENT WITH US! 

 

This role handles varying responsibilities as Aircraft Cleaner and Lavatory and Water Agent.  In the role of Aircraft Cleaner you will clean the interior of the aircraft.  As a Lavatory and Water Agent, your primary focus is responsible for the maintenance and servicing of aircraft lavatories and water systems during evening shifts. This role includes emptying and cleaning aircraft lavatories, refilling water tanks, and ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS AN AIRCRAFT CLEANER AND LAVATORY AND WATER AGENT

  • Direct lift truck movement and positioning in the Airport
  • Remove all trash from aircraft
  • Clean galley and restock all lavatories
  • Clean all seats, seat back pockets, tray tables and replace soiled magazines
  • Fold blankets and store blankets and pillows in overhead compartments
  • Safe Operation of any vehicle around aircraft in an Airport Ramp Environment
  • Ability to comprehend and execute safe procedures concerning blood-borne pathogens and universal precaution controls
  • Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safety empty, flush and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements
  • Follow all local environmental procedures in emptying waste trucks and fueling same in designated areas
  • Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists
  • Physical activity may include:
    • Stand and walk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
    • Must bend, twist, and reach 
    • Must stand and walk for long periods of time 
    • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may become high at various times. Employee must be willing to wear/utilize company-supplied personal protective equipment (hearing protection) to mitigate their noise exposure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds or more 
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language, this includes documents
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
  • Ability to work in an a physically demanding outdoor environment
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

  •  Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
