Position Overview: An Excavation Crew General Laborer is responsible for performing a wide range of manual labor tasks on construction sites. This position primarily involves preparing areas for excavation, assisting with machine operations, and ensuring the work site is clean and safe. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, including machine operation, while contributing to the success of various excavation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excavation Support:

    • Assist in digging, trenching, and backfilling tasks using hand tools such as shovels, picks, and other excavation equipment.

    • Move, load, and unload materials as needed, ensuring proper handling and placement.

  • Material Handling and Site Clean-Up:

    • Receive job material deliveries, check for accuracy, and organize materials for efficient use on-site.

    • Perform regular site clean-up and debris removal to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

  • Machinery Assistance:

    • Hook and unhook pipe and other materials for movement throughout the job site.
