League Projects is a leading oilfield construction company that provides quality Pipeline Construction, Pipeline Integrity, Facility Construction and Module Construction to western Canadaโ€™s energy sector.
Position Title: Journeyman Pipefitter
Location: Brooks, AB (Field Work Various Locations)
Position Summary:
League Projects is currently looking for an experienced Journeyman Pipefitter to join our team.
Required knowledge & Skills:
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Receives instructions, drawings and work orders from supervision
  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of pipefitting and trade techniques, properties of various materials and principles of applications of equipment and materials paying attention to close tolerances
  • Ability to read, interpret and determine information from drawings and specification
  • Sets up and operates bending, threading, cut-off and oxyacetylene burning equipment, and uses hand tools of the trade, to shape and fabricate piping
  • Ability to measure accurately, lay out work, cut, bevel, thread and fit pip
  • Makes and seals all types of joints, installs gaskets, packing and pipe supports, tests joints for leaks and applies various insulating materials and pipe covering
  • Inspects, installs, dismantles, repairs, and maintains various types of piping
  • Sets up pipe for welded or special type joints
  • Lock out and isolates equipment, taking necessary safety precautions
  • Keeps working area, tools and equipment in clean and orderly condition
  • Records and submits data relevant to job duties. Maintains log books as required by legislation and policy. Reports irregularities to supervisor
  • Responsible for active participation in and compliance with occupational health and safety, quality, environment, compulsory trade policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the functional operation and purpose of the various piping system components
Work Conditions:
  • Extensive travel required to various project locations
  • Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Pipefitter ticket an asset
  • 5 years experience required
  • Valid safety tickets; Standard First Aid
  • Valid drivers license is requiredย 
  • Must have large diameter pipe experience
