As a Carpet Cleaner/Restoration Technician (internally known as Restoration Technician I), you'll be part of the front-line team that helps people recover after unexpected damage. You'll learn the essentials of water and fire restoration, gain hands-on experience with industry tools, and work alongside experienced teammates who will help you build your skills every day. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARPET CLEANER/RESTORATION TECHNICIAN

As a Carpet Cleaner/Restoration Technician, you start each day ready to make an impact. You'll be responsible for delivering high quality carpet cleaning services, set up drying and restoration equipment, remove damaged materials, and prepare work areas for the next stage of repair. You'll assist with water extraction, demolition, and cleanup while learning to follow industry standards and safety protocols. Working side by side with experienced technicians, you'll see how teamwork and attention to detail turn damaged spaces into safe, restored environments. Your initiative and reliability keep every project moving smoothly and every client feeling supported.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience in restoration, carpet cleaning, construction, or a related field (cleaning or emergency services experience an asset)
  • Previous professional carpet cleaning experience required
  • Experience operating a portable carpet cleaning unit required
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new techniques and equipment
  • Water Remediation Technician (WRT) certification an asset
  • Carpet Cleaning Technician Course (CCT) certification an asset
  • Proficient in using mobile devices and relevant applications
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
  • Valid full class driver's license and clear driver's abstract required
  • Fit test and other safety certifications
  • Forklift certification is an asset
  • Includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule
