Part-Time Floater Delivery Driver

Join the Overnight Parts Inc. Team!

Overnight Parts Inc. is looking for a dependable, flexible, and customer-focused Part-Time Floater Delivery Driver to support our delivery team. This position is ideal for someone seeking part-time work with a flexible schedule while gaining experience in our delivery operations.

As a Floater Driver, you'll provide coverage for regular route drivers, assist with training, and ride along with experienced drivers to learn routes and company procedures. Once trained, you'll have the opportunity to cover open routes and earn the pay associated with the route you are assigned to drive.

Position Overview

This role is designed to provide operational support and flexibility. Floater drivers may ride along with experienced drivers to learn delivery routes and procedures; however, ride-along assignments are limited to a maximum of three (3) days per week.

During your training period, you'll receive $160.00 per day. After training, if you're scheduled to ride along with a driver, you'll receive $140.00 per day. When you're assigned to operate a delivery route independently, you'll be paid the established pay rate for that specific route.

Pay Structure:

  • $140.00 per day while riding along with an established driver (maximum of 3 ride-along days per week)
  • $160.00 per day during designated training
  • When assigned to drive a route independently, you will be paid the established pay rate for that route

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate company vehicles when assigned to drive a delivery route.
  • Ride along with experienced drivers to learn routes, customer locations, and company procedures.
  • Provide coverage for drivers who are absent or on vacation.
  • Deliver products accurately and on time while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Load, unload, and secure merchandise to prevent damage during transport.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers.
  • Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations for non-CDL drivers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to safely lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn multiple delivery routes and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Previous delivery driving or transportation experience.
  • Customer service experience.
