New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Permanent Full-time Petroleum Driver based at our Cardlock in Clairmont, Alberta.

What you’ll do:


    • Operate the petroleum delivery unit safely and lawfully at all times, following all traffic laws, transport regulations, and company safety policies
    • Complete daily safety checks on the truck, trailer, and all petroleum equipment to ensure everything is in safe working order
    • Handle fuel and equipment carefully and responsibly to prevent spills, contamination, or safety risks
    • Verify product types, grades, and quantities against the delivery manifest before departure to ensure accurate and safe loading
    • Follow the assigned delivery schedule and route to complete deliveries on time and efficiently
    • Deliver petroleum products according to customer instructions, using safe transfer procedures and proper equipment
    • Ensure all delivered products are accurately invoiced, and complete all required delivery paperwork or digital logs
    • Maintain regular communication with customers to confirm delivery times, answer questions, and report any delivery issues
    • Notify the Petroleum Division Manager of any potential new customers or if regular customers change their order volume or fuel needs
    • Keep the delivery truck and trailer clean, organized, and properly maintained, and report any mechanical issues immediately
    • Maintain and organize all petroleum delivery equipment, including hoses, nozzles, grounding cables, and fittings
    • Follow all safety protocols when entering sites, connecting hoses, and transferring fuel to avoid accidents or environmental harm
    • Perform other duties as assigned to assist with delivery operations or support the petroleum team

    • Valid Class 3 AB driver’s license with Q air brake endorsement
    • Clean driver's abstract
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Class 3 driver
    • Experience in fuel delivery or commercial driving preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and safety
    • Skilled with computer programs, including Microsoft Office 365
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
    • Knowledge of the North Peace Region is considered an asset
    • Must be bondable
    • Available to work on a very flexible schedule
    • Available to work 10-hour shifts
