Job description

The Ohio Environmental Council seeks a full-time Director of Clean Energy Policy to support the operation of the Energy Program. The Director of Clean Energy Policy will serve as an expert on energy affordability policy, data center regulation, and utility scale energy representing the OEC in its efforts to lower energy costs and expand clean energy deployment across the state. The Director of Clean Energy Policy will serve as the energy programs point person on external facing issues campaigns, working closely with OEC’s government affairs and campaigns teams.

The Director of Clean Energy Policy will engage directly with stakeholders, community members, and elected officials to advance the Energy Team’s goals of developing a clean, reliable, and affordable electric system in Ohio. As a member of the OEC’s Energy Team, this position, along with Climate and Justice Manager, will report to the Managing Director of Energy Policy, and will work closely with the Senior Clean Energy Attorney.
