Job description

Quality Control Technician
Location: Franklin Park, IL
Pay: $30.00–$40.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary:
Summit Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to support a growing manufacturer specializing in laundry and home cleaning products. This role combines laboratory testing with production floor quality oversight to ensure products consistently meet quality, safety, and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate will have quality control experience within home cleaning products, laundry detergents, household chemicals, cosmetics, personal care products, or similar manufacturing environments. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct laboratory testing including pH, dissolvability, fragrance, and product performance testing.
  • Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Monitor production for quality concerns, contamination risks, and process deviations.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Review production documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support new product and formula testing.
  • Work closely with Production and Management to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain quality records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience in home cleaning products, laundry, cosmetics, personal care, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience working in both a laboratory and manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of pH testing, quality inspections, and product validation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with production teams.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
