Job description

General Cleaner

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual for a Part-Time General Cleaner position. The cleaner will travel between multiple buildings from Madison to the west side of Fitchburg, so a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. These locations are not accessible by bus.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM–9:00 PM

Applicants must be able to read and understand English in order to follow laboratory signage, instructions, and other workplace requirements. After completing training, the cleaner will be responsible for working independently on an assigned route. Free on-site parking is available.

Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate should be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Dust desks, cabinet tops, partitions, and other surfaces.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Sweep and mop hard-surface floors.
  • Vacuum floors using upright and/or backpack vacuums.
  • Spot-clean carpets as needed.
  • Clean glass surfaces and windows.
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other restroom areas.
  • Restock and maintain restroom supplies.
  • Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Perform other duties or work in assigned areas as directed by the customer or management.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and standards at all times.
