Our client is looking for a Systems Administrator II to join a team where you'll play a key role in designing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise Active Directory, Azure, VMware, and server environments.

This position is ideal for a systems administrator with strong troubleshooting, PowerShell scripting, and cloud experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving system reliability, and supporting large-scale infrastructure projects including domain migrations and acquisitions. Candidates must be located in one of the following states: TX, PA, CO, WA, UT, NJ, OK Systems Administrator II Responsibilities: Support, design, install, customize, and maintain servers and all associated components. Provide general administration of systems.

This includes user access administration, system services, configurations, and the development of tools to manage the environment. Assists with the development of prototypes/proofs of concepts to validate key project assumptions prior to making significant investments. Provide break/fix support of associated software and operating system.

Communicating with team, customers, and sponsors effectively. Able to establish credibility by appealing to reason and using research, data, facts. Maintain system performance by pro-active monitoring and trending the utilization of system resources.

Maintain system reliability and availability by managing system updates and patches. Design, install and implement systems to provide efficient, cost-effective solutions for the business' computing needs. Research industry trends and directions within the industry, to assist with developing long-term IT infrastructure strategies.

Assists with the identification of system requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, form of desired results, and integration of components. Use appropriate change control procedures for implementing software enhancements.

Oversees systems testing, leads integration testing, and assists in user testing. Coordinates the maintenance of assigned applications. Monitors system and application performance metrics.

May provide input to solutions and/or recommendations for improvements. Remain abreast of current technologies and best practices that may be applicable to the company. Establishes relationships with the users and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs through the analysis of business workflows and an understanding of business needs.

Assists in the performance of Merger and Acquisitions Assists in Domain mergers and divestures. Systems Administrator II Essential Skills: Basic computer skills: Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Provide support for Active Directory and related technologies: Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) Sites and Services Configuration Azure Entra ID AD Connect DNS, DHCP Microsoft Certificate Authority (MSCA) KMS and RDP licensing PowerShell scripting TCP/IP Subnetting Systems Administrator II Working Conditions: Professional office environment, expected to be hybrid or fully remote. 24-hour on-call support will require occasional night and weekend work.

Willingness to work overtime hours as necessary, especially during critical issue resolution and to achieve project milestones. Will be required to carry cell phones and be accessible after hours as needed. Systems Administrator II Minimum Requirements: Five (5) years business experience using and supporting active directory, computing, and network technology in an enterprise environment.

Systems Administrator II Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited four-year college/university Systems Administrator II Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Expresses technical and business concepts, ideas, feelings, opinions, and conclusions so that others understand or are persuaded to act.
