We are seeking a Field Marketing Representative based in Northern California to join our dynamic team. This position is field-based in support of the Northern California market.

Role Overview

The Field Marketing Representative is responsible for executing brand strategy at the retail level, with a strong emphasis on merchandising, in-store visibility, and customer engagement. This role combines brand ambassador responsibilities with hands-on retail execution to ensure products are presented effectively and consistently across accounts.

This individual will act as the face of the brand in-market-driving awareness, strengthening retail partnerships, and supporting sell-through through best-in-class merchandising and education.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Retail Execution

  • Execute and maintain in-store merchandising standards, including displays, shelving, planograms, and point-of-sale materials to maximize brand visibility.
  • Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure brand standards, and product placement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shelf positioning, expand facings, and secure secondary placements (digital, end caps, feature displays, etc.).
  • Install, maintain, and restock branded assets and promotional materials.
  • Track and report on merchandising conditions, competitive presence, and retail insights.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer guidelines and applicable industry regulations.

Brand Representation & Retail Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with retail staff, store managers, and key in-store contacts.
  • Educate retail teams on product features, benefits, and sales techniques.
  • Enthusiastically represent the brand with professionalism, energy, and consistency in all interactions.
  • Support new product launches and promotional rollouts at the store level.

Events & Activations

  • Execute in-store demos, activations, and promotional events.
  • Represent the brand at both cannabis and non-cannabis events, trade shows, retail and community activations.
  • Ensure all activations align with brand standards and industry regulations

Field Intelligence & Reporting

  • Provide insights on competitive activity, pricing, promotions, and retail trends.
  • Maintain accurate and on-time reporting on store visits, merchandising updates, and activation results.
  • Track KPIs such as distribution, display compliance, and execution quality.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales to support account growth through brand presence and promotional execution in-store.
  • Help support Marketing on campaign rollouts, product highlights, and feedback from the field.

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in field marketing, brand ambassador work, merchandising, or retail execution.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments and merchandising fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a large territory independently.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Northern California and occasionally statewide.
  • As driving is an essential function of the job, must be able to travel between work locations as required and have reliable transportation.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Preferred

  • Experience working with multi-location retail accounts.
  • Background in executing retail promotions, displays, or visual merchandising.
