As dedicated college advisors, we recommend potential colleges fitting clients' factors and budget, as well as assist in identifying a career path that aligns with their abilities and interests. We support them in the steps necessary to achieve those goals in the most cost-effective manner possible.
We are seeking a college planner at our Springfield, MO office - someone who will work collaboratively with a team to provide direct college planning to high school students through individual meetings. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dedicated to the needs of our clients, and willing to learn and execute a proven system for delivering college planning.
Academic College Planning Advisor key responsibilities:
  • Delivering effective meetings with students to educate and empower them on how to navigate the college process using Class 101 curriculum.
  • Encouraging, motivating and keeping students on track as they progress through the college admissions process.
  • Serving as a reliable source for students and families
  • Meeting deadlines for submitting applications
  • Guiding students through the essay writing process to create and refine main, supplemental, honors, and scholarship essays

Skills and Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in an applicable field of study, including business, education, and social sciences, or equivalent related career experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly with teenagers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to learn and execute a proven system
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience with and a willingness to lead a classroom setting, facilitating classroom learning for up to 20 students
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The successful applicant will be comfortable using technology. At a minimum the applicant should be adept using web browsers and MS Office suite applications, particularly MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Experience with social media and social media marketing is a plus

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
